Ubisoft releases five screenshots of Rainbow Six Vegas PS3, which is due to be released in a few days. More than six months after the Xbox 360 version we hope the game will not suffer from a bad port job like Splinter Cell Double Agent...

Ubisoft is showing a controlled demo (meaning that someone is playing live) of the next game in the series at E3 2006, Rainbow Six: Vegas. Let's just say that our love of the series looks like it may very well be renewed again come this fall. In other words, Vegas looks freakin' sweet.

First off, the game looks as good as the screenshots we've seen so far - there's been no doctoring going on here. It's sharp, complex and acts as a great example of what we should be expecting from next-gen systems. Characters feature smooth self-shadowing, their faces covered with the appropriate wrinkles and details you'd expect to see on a battle torn soldier. The environments aren't fully destructible, but there are tons of objects that'll break, shatter and splinter, lights that get blown out and so forth. Once bullets fly, all hell breaks loose.

Never judge a game too harshly via screenshots or videos, because they are in no way capable of properly representing what the game truly looks like were you to see it running in front of you on a 360

I wasent so much into realistic special forces before, but this game is maybe a must buy game im not to sure. I love their outfits and all and the idea to customize everything for online for you character sounds cool, but im unsure if I will buy it or. But the gameplay is so freaking awesome, how tactical and upclose it is. I love the cover back and I hope its the same in online so you can cover, not like GRAW and that sucks, so I hope RB6 Vegas is the game for me. Because I have to have one realistic fast paste special force game.

The cover is awesome in my opinion when you can see your character in great graphics and the envoirment. But the blind fire is not realistic at all. Unless the weapon has a cam attached to it, if not...ehm well you might as well take in rocket launchers in vegas.
But I have to think about this game.

They guy who was speaking was so annoying, and dont understand why he didnt shup up when he said you would shut up hehe.

The trailer on Live was pretty cool... always been a fan of the Rainbow Six series. Speaking of R6... was a nice touch in that trailer how the ball on the roulette table stopped at Red 6. :)

The game looks awesome, and I might picks this up.

Woah. The very end of the demo reminds me of the ending of Fight Club.

That GOD DAMN WOMAN in the background is annoying, hope we get direct feed of this soon enough.

Annoying PR guy... but the graphics look great, I like the FPS / take cover feature, and the power of the guns (1 shot kill) make it look fun to play. Looks like GRAW in many ways, just better. Lets hope the gameplay lives up to the graphics. Seeing this makes me less sad that BiA3 is delayed.

What a great year for games!

it's being handled by the same team who made the original rainbow six 3, so it should be great.

same here.

The only thing keeping me back to getting this is that its a realistic special force game. I always play either sci-fi or fantasy genre for now what kind of game it is. So thats the only thing keeping me back, so I have to think about it. Looks fun though =).

it looks cool and all and I had GRAW, RB6 and Battlefield 2 MC in the past, but I have played too much of sci-fi or fantasy like games that I have doubts if I would like it again. But the gameplay and commands and animation looks great and graphics too.
