Announced yesterday via the awesome trailer, the Mexican Border is now back with some new images from Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. I'm not the one complaining about doing some more Ghost Recon again!

the cover system wont aid campers if the levels are designed well. a person in cover has no way seeing what going on in the opposite direction of the wall their back is on. prepare to get rushed. not to mention the time it takes to move in and out of cover...if someone spots you, you could be dead meat for a grenade.

Hmm looks like GRAW , they are probably using a modified GRAW engine.
Unreal engine

Most hated: This is a tactical shooter. When you think about it camping sort of IS the point.

What the hell does using the unreal engine have to do with games looking like each other? You can use Unreal to build any damn kind of world you want to. It just so happens that the art direction of this level looks very much like that of GRAW - the sunset lighting, gritty streets, etc. It's art direction not the game engine that determines the look.
I agree, the level design does somewhat look like GRAW or how about the previous titles before GRAW and Rainbowsix Vegas. Alot of the Clancy titles resemble level design in one way or another. But the graphical look makes them look completley different. I said nothing about art direction or level design i said graphical look. So are you saying if we take the original Rainbowsix engine and design the exact maps from Vegas its going to look the same?

Is this game any cooler because they use the F' word? Companies piss me off, by unnecessarily putting in inappropriateness at times when it really isn’t needed.

The people working on the game need to grow up for certain issues.

Other than that, this game looks fantastic.
People use the 'F' word all the time in everyday life, ESPECIALLY in the army, special forces etc, so actually you maybe need to study that area a bit more before commenting on 'growing up'. Also whoever set out the rules that 'swearing' was childish? The reason 'swear' words are called as such is because there are people who frown, look down on those who use these slang words - for instance is there really a difference between someone saying 'intercourse' or 'f***'? No there isn't. Society tells you there is. I have never been offended by these words as they really harm noone.

Back to the game - the screens look great and I think that the gameplay is where most will really appreciate what the game has to offer.

Cover system is so gay why do devs think this is the future of tactical FPS? Get ready for the campers.
Yeah that's my main concern 2,

But think of it in another way:

In real live do you think Spec ops, run around in the open guns blazing all the time?
No they pop out of hiding, maybe even getting a sniper spot and "tactically" shoot and move trough the enviroment.

(but they don't get to see and aim while behind cover so that's still a big issue)

Yea I realize that. But like you said you can't see whats behind the wall while your covering. Its a cool feature, but I think it just promotes even more camping and makes the main focus of the gameplay sitting behind a wall. It was cool for the first 5 minutes in PDZ after that I wished it wasn't in the game. I think they should have done like Ghost Recon and made it for the singleplayer, but kept the multi to its roots. Oh well atleast its not third person.

If you can barley see anything in the screens then you really need to adjust your monitor contrast/brightness.

And rainbowsix is not an original idea, cause its part of a series. I dont see you posting over at the call of duty 3 screens sayng it looks like call of duty 2. Maybe you cant see the call of duty 3 screens cause they are too dark.
Lmao that comment was DEE YOU EM BEE.

Call of duty 3 is SUPPOSE to look like Call of duty 2....... they are the same game series ...... Thats like saying "HEY WHY THE HELL DOES SONIC 2 LOOK LIKE SONIC 1! LAME!!!"

GRAW and Rainbow 6 are NOT the same series.... Thats just blatant lazyness to explore new areas.

Not really, as we've already played GRAW.
Well considering Ghost Recon was franchised off of Rainbowsix. Which up until the GRAW, Ghost recon somwhat set itself apart a little bit from Rainbow six.

Ghost Recon wasnt franchised off of Rainbox Six at all, the only thing they have in common is the devloper actually.

You already know why they are suppose to look alike, so dont ask questions you already know the answers to.

And i didnt comment on the Vegas side of it did i? Im commenting on the mexico side of it so dont try to make a point out of nothing.

And actually, You need to read up a little better cause ubisoft says it themselves. What was there 3 or 4 rainbowsix games out before the ghost recon series, It is what made clancy titles what it is today. And i still cant get over the comment of you saying its ok for a series to look exactly the same. There is alot of great series that stepped it up each release far as gameplay and graphics, Quake, Halflife, Unreal, Battlefield, etc etc.

Original post by you

Not really, as we've already played GRAW, would have been nice if they could have used some new ideas other then the gritty, gray, can barely see anything cause the screens so dark ideas.

You cant buy an original idea nowadays.

The mexico side of....pft. The mexico side of it is part of vegas the game, what do you think there is 2 games. From my understanding there is one level in mexico which is the first level which sets up the story going to vegas....<--- not for sure though. And if you are wanting to debate thats fine, but debate about it and give your thoughts instead of saying "you already know why" and "dont try to make a point out of nothing".
