Pandemic released this long video of Mercenaries 2: World in Flames showing the different way to play the same mission with each of the three characters in the game. Looks like the delay was very beneficial there, the framerate seems much better, with only a tad too much tearing.

I don't see any differences between the 3 characters, exept for the sniper rifle. It's just a run and gun game. Blow things up, shoot some foes, interactive cutscenes while taking over a vehicle. The 3 characters do the same thing. Or did I miss something?

LMAO @ the devs trying to make the characters seem different. lol. they're essentially skins so you can play as the token black guy, the white guy and the woman. dont pretend its anymore significant then that...i wish it was, but in mercs...it isnt.
does look good tho, they need to work on that framerate and screentearing tho...it was terrible.

I am very impressed so far!!!! I loved the first Mercs on the XBox.
This looks like it is going to be a lot of fun for quite a while....
Visuals are great (considering all the destruction)

Love the gameplay even though you have your generic three characters, i love the grapple hook and there are more similarities between the the two guys than the girl so it should shape up for some awesome gameplay. The animations are amazing and the little mini game, i hope it's not the same every time though that would just get BORING

why not just have one person which u can use to do whichever stratagy u want with. i dont like character classes, i will feel like im missing out on something the other 2 can do

would be alot better if the action was more fluid and didnt stop everytime you took a vehicle for quick time events.
To be honest, i'm abit disappointed. The levels are pretty empty and uninspiring..they didnt show the destructablity properly of everything lik ewe saw a few trailers back.
Alot more work needs to going into the framerate and AI too.

you can complete the objective 3 different ways
overkill is the best way, just don't care and do as much blowing up as possible

some like doing it sneakily, some like blowing everything sky high and causing as much destruction as possible
i guess the game might be short and this way you can create alot of replayability. I can see achievements for each seperate class

As for the game, it's shaping up nicely actually...looks like loads of fun! I worry about the draw distance which isn't very apparent in this vid, but the previous vids I've seen show immense pop-in. Lets hope this one comes out well polished!

the game looks nice anyways, i just thought it was funny in the vid how the voice over said "now helicopters don't usually stand around waiting for you like that, i guess he didn't see him." no hiding that A.I stupidity mr director!
